1. Collar

Place a soft tape around your neck at the adam's apple. Keep it snug but not tight — add a half-inch (1.27cm) for a comfortable fit.

2. Chest

Stand straight, arms relaxed. Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, keeping it level. Snug but not tight.

3. Waist

Stand straight and relaxed. Measure slightly above your navel, keeping the tape level and snug but not tight.

4. Sleeve length

Arm relaxed at your side. Measure from the centre of your back, just below the neck, down along the outside of your arm to your wrist.

5. Body length

Measure from the base of your neck where the collar rests, vertically down your body front or back, to where you want the shirt to end.

Classic Tattersall Shirt in Navy and Green Check

Description

This is the classic country shirt cut for a fuller figure. The woven check is commonly known as a tattersall, named after the horse market, founded in London in the 1770s. The pattern was originally used on horse blankets.

Here it is woven into a brushed cotton, soft to the touch and offering a degree of warmth. With a classic collar, this style is enduringly popular in our Cotswolds store.
